There has been a clear ask to bring back our in-person community networking events. Our intention is to start as we mean to go on, to drive more volunteers, resources and collaboration across the Bath/Bristol region and wider South West to amplify how technology can be a force for good in society.

A recent phase of research across our membership has reinforced the value and genuine warmth towards our community. Rather than the pandemic rendering the group redundant, our mission is even more important as digital has become a primary source of delivery and way of working for many.  We have a huge pool of talent in the region that is highly motivated to help others and focus on social good. 

As we take steps forward from the feedback through our community consultation and our online relaunch session on 6th October, join us for our first in-person event since February 2020!  The lack of meeting in-person has been a clear limitation to continue our community networking and opportunities for collaboration.  Our Walk & Talk event is an opportunity to network and come together in the fresh air to share ideas and thoughts to evolve and strengthen the mission for tech for good across our region.

Our Walk & Talk event is very kindly supported and hosted by Outside/, a business community powered by Nature.  We'll gather as a group of up to 20 people who are keen to don their walking boots and explore the stunning countryside around Bristol and Bath.

Over the course of a 3 hour circular walk, you’ll get to spend 10-15 minutes chatting to each of your fellow walkers. No agenda as such, just clear open space for thinking, connecting, sharing experiences and exploring possibilities on the theme of the role of technology as a force for good and how we can co-design our regional purpose as an umbrella group to great as many connections as possible in the "for good" space post-pandemic.

The starting point for our first Walk & Talk will be between Bristol and Bath - in Kelston, taking us up onto Lansdown ridge. We’ll meet in the picnic area carpark in Swineford (it's free along lane behind The Swan Inn) - here https://goo.gl/maps/WjaFcXdLDTprBUzq8
