The theme for DVAM is #Every1KnowsSome1, which means that everyone knows someone that’s affected by domestic violence, whether you can see it or not. Because domestic violence thrives in silence, we want to get people talking about it so survivors know that they’re not alone, and that help is available.
One isn’t just a number; it’s SOMEONE – a family member, a neighbor, a coworker, a friend. Domestic violence affects all of us, and all of us must be part of the solution. Getting involved in DVAM is a great way to stand up for survivors while raising awareness and starting a conversation about preventing domestic violence.
