About this event

According to various sources, nonprofits should allocate 2-5% of their operating budgets to technology, but we know that is often not the case—especially for smaller nonprofits. Many nonprofits report challenges related to technology in terms of access, affordability, and staff capacity to utilize technology.

Nonprofits can utilize technology to meet with clients, assess programs, increase efficiency, and scale impact. However, we know that good technology is rarely free or cheap; therefore, this webinar focuses on tips for writing grants for technology to support an organization’s mission.

Topics will include framing technology expenses as imperative to achieving programmatic impact, creating program budgets that include technology expenses, and identifying how an organization can allocate funding toward technology through effective budgeting.

TechSoup Connect Texas is an independently organized chapter, created with the support of TechSoup and in the spirit of their mission to build a dynamic bridge that leverages technology to enable connections and innovative solutions for a more equitable planet.
